AFTER LESS THEN A YEAR SINCE BUILDING ARSON 42 YEAR OLD SACRAMENTO AUTOMOTIVE SHOP HAS REOPEN WITH A NEW LOCATION IN MIDTOWN
With sympathetic and encouraging support from very loyal customers all over the Sacramento and Central Valley BARBER’S SHOP AUTOMOTIVE has reopened at a “new” location.
An arson-caused dumpster fire last October temporarily shuttered the 42 year old auto repair business. In the months since, the BARBER’S SHOP AUTOMOTIVE crew spent their time recovering from the fire and relocating their iconic Midtown shop to another landmark location in the Downtown Sacramento area.
“It took us sometime to relocate, but it was incredible the amount of support we have received from the community over the last 11 months. Its great to be open and working with old and new customers again”
- Suntino Soldano, Manager, BARBER’S SHOP AUTOMOTIVE
The company was originally started in 1979 to serve the owners of Alfa Romeo automobiles. Over the years, and in response to demand, the business expanded to serve the owners of other automotive brands as well as motor scooters and motorcycles.
The shop reopened in August offering their familiar high quality automotive service. Importantly, the “new” location is in another familiar, landmark building in the Midtown/Downtown Sacramento region at 614 16th Street. For the past 11 years this “new” location, a 1928 built former blacksmith shop, has housed the motor scooter and motorcycle side of the company, SCOOTER CITY.
BARBER’S will celebrate their reopening and new location with an open house
Sunday October, 10 at 614 16th St. Sacramento, CA 95814 from 12pm – 5pm.
